Cassie Olson

Cello

Cassie Olson began her cello studies a bit later than most, and upon realizing that the cello was her true calling she turned her focus to performance, eventually earning a Masters degree from the Manhattan School of Music in New York City. Cassie is currently the Associate Principal Cellist of the Ballet West Orchestra and often performs with the Utah Symphony, Utah Chamber Artists, and the Cathedral of the Madeleine Choir, as well as with touring artists and for area recording studios. Cassie teaches privately and is on the faculty of The Waterford School in Sandy where she helps to wrangle the 50+ cellists enrolled in the orchestras there. A native of Sugar House, Cassie also enjoys archery, snowshoeing, gardening, and being a mom to her zoo of beloved pets.
